Constant temperature control of tundish induction heating power supply for metallurgical manufacturing

摘要: The tundish induction heating power supply (TIHPS) is one of the most important equipment in the continuous casting process for metallurgical manufacturing. Specially, the constant temperature control is greatly significant for metallurgical manufacturing. In terms of the relationship between TIH load temperature and output power of TIHPS, the constant temperature control can be realized by power control. In this paper, a TIHPS structure with three-phase PWM rectifiers and full-bridge cascaded inverter is proposed. Besides, an input harmonic current blocking strategy and a load voltage feedforward control are also proposed to realize constant temperature control. To meet the requirement of the system, controller parameters are designed properly. Experiments are conducted to validate the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed TIHPS topology and the control methods.

Numerical investigation on side heat transfer enhancement in 300 kA aluminum reduction cell

摘要: Industrial test and numerical simulation were synchronously applied to analyze the side heat transfer process and enhance heat transfer in aluminum reduction cell. The 3D slice finite element model of aluminum reduction cell was developed, with which the sidewall temperature field of the cell was computed by using software ANSYS. The main influencing factors on heat dissipation were analyzed and some effective measures were proposed to enhance sidewall heat transfer. The results show that the shell temperature of the test cell and the common cell is respectively 312°C and 318°C and the ledge thickness is 16 cm and 15 cm when side coefficient of heat transfer between the shell and the surroundings is 70 W/(mK). With the increase of the side coefficient of heat transfer between the shell and the surroundings, the temperature of the shell decreases but the thickness of the side ledge increases when the electrolytic temperature, the ambient temperature, the coefficient of heat transfer between molten bath and ledge, the eutectic temperature and the thermo-resistance of the side lining are constant.

Design and evaluation of control strategies in urban drainage systems in Kunming city

摘要: Real time control (RTC) of urban drainage systems (UDSs) is an important measure to reduce combined sewer overflow (CSO) and urban flooding, helping achieve the aims of ‘Sponge City’. Application of RTC requires three main steps: strategy design, simulation-based evaluation and field test. But many of published RTC studies are system-specific, lacking discussions on how to design a strategy step by step. In addition, the existing studies are prone to use hydrologic model to evaluated strategies, but a more precise and dynamic insight into strategy performance is needed. To fill these knowledge gaps, based on a case UDS in Kunming city, a study on RTC strategy design and simulation-based evaluation is performed. Two off-line volume-based RTC strategy design principles, and , are emphasized. Following these principles, a detailed design procedure is shown for the case UDS resulting in three RTC strategies: static, constant and equal filling. The proposed strategies are evaluated based on a hydrodynamic model- Storm Water Management Model (SWMM) - under four typical rainfall events characterized by different return periods (1-year or 0.5 year) and different spatial distributions (uniform or uneven). The equal filling strategy outperforms other two strategies and it can achieve 10% more CSO reduction and 5% more flooding reduction relative to the no-tank case.

Development of a dual temperature control system for isoprene biosynthesis in

摘要: Conflict between cell growth and product accumulation is frequently encountered in the biosynthesis of secondary metabolites. To address the growth-production conflict in yeast strains harboring the isoprene synthetic pathway in the mitochondria, the dynamic control of isoprene biosynthesis was explored. A dual temperature regulation system was developed through engineering and expression regulation of the transcriptional activator Gal4p. A cold-sensitive mutant, Gal4ep19, was created by directed evolution of Gal4p based on an internally developed growth-based high-throughput screening method and expressed under the heat-shock promoter PSSA4 to control the expression of PGAL-driven pathway genes in the mitochondria. Compared to the control strain with constitutively expressed wild-type Gal4p, the dual temperature regulation strategy led to 34.5% and 72% improvements in cell growth and isoprene production, respectively. This study reports the creation of the first cold-sensitive variants of Gal4p by directed evolution and provides a dual temperature control system for yeast engineering that may also be conducive to the biosynthesis of other high-value natural products.

Research progress on low dielectric constant modification of cellulose insulating paper for power transformers

摘要: Because of the increase in the transmission voltage levels, the demand for insulation reliability of power transformers has increasingly become critical. Cellulose insulating paper is the main insulating component of power transformers. To improve the insulation level of ultrahigh voltage transformers and reduce their weight and size, reducing the dielectric constant of oil-immersed cellulose insulating paper is highly desired. Cellulose is used to produce power-transformer insulating papers owing to its excellent electrical properties, renewability, biodegradability and abundance. The dielectric constant of a cellulose insulating paper can be effectively reduced by chemical or physical modification. This study presents an overview of the foreign and domestic research status of the use of modification technology to reduce the dielectric constant of cellulose insulating papers. All the mentioned methods are analyzed in this study. Finally, some recommendations for future modified cellulose insulating paper research and applications are proposed. This paper can provide a reference for further research on low dielectric constant cellulose insulating paper in the future.

Temperature effects of shape memory alloys (SMAs) in damage control design of steel portal frames

摘要: The objective of the present study is to analytically investigate temperature effects of an axial-type seismic damper made of shape memory alloys (SMAs) equipped in steel frames. Based on a modified multilinear one dimensional constitutive model of SMAs, two types of SMAs are employed, which have different stress plateau and different stress growth rate with temperature increase. Temperature effects of SMA dampers on seismic performance upgrading are discussed in three aspects: different environment temperatures; rapid loading rate induced heat generation and different SMA fractions. The analysis indicates that the effect of environment temperature should be considered for the SMA damper in steel frames. However, the rapid loading rate induced heat generation has little adverse effect.

Temperature control of transfer roller’s bearing based on finite element analysis

摘要: After a heat preservation cover is installed on the main rolling line, the heat dissipation environment of the transfer roller working on the heat preservation cover is changed. To ensure the normal production, a reasonable working jet capacity of the roller neck is derived. First, a globe model of the transfer roller is built for finite element analysis. Second, the sub-model of the fixed end bearing is built and the boundary condition of the sub-model is supplied by the results of the globe model. The analysis result of the sub-model shows that the temperature of the transfer roller bearing exceeds 85°C a rolling periodicity later. With finite element analysis, the heat flux is obtained and the minimum working jet capacity is derived.

空调客车内温度控制系统仿真研究

摘要:

分别采用模糊控制方法与常规PID控制方法,对空调客车内温度控制系统进行了仿真研究。仿真结果表明,PID控制能消除稳态误差,但超调大,过渡时间长,在工况变化较小的情况下,能满足一定的控温要求;对于对象延迟、工况变化较大的场合,模糊控制能实时跟踪空调工况变化,较快地达到控温目标值,节能率高,综合控制效果比PID要好。

Sliding window games for cooperative building temperature control using a distributed learning method

摘要: In practice, an energy consumer often consists of a set of residential or commercial buildings, with individual units that are expected to cooperate to achieve overall optimization under modern electricity operations, such as time-of-use price. Global utility is decomposed to the payoff of each player, and each game is played over a prediction horizon through the design of a series of sliding window games by treating each building as a player. During the games, a distributed learning algorithm based on game theory is proposed such that each building learns to play a part of the global optimum through state transition. The proposed scheme is applied to a case study of three buildings to demonstrate its effectiveness.

载人航天器微量污染净化装置温度控制研究

催化氧化器是载人航天器中的微量污染净化装置的一个重要组成部分。提出了一种新型自整定模糊 控制器控制催化氧化器工作温度,它采用在线Bang-bang方法获得系统特性,利用所提出的整定公式计算出模糊 控制器的输入输出因子,将这些比例因子与标准查寻表结合,实现了自整定模糊控制器的设计。

摘要:

使用电加热器的卫星主动控温回路是一种重要的主动热控措施,通过简明扼要的机理分析建立起该主动控温过程中受控对象温度变化的动态方程,得出了稳态控温、瞬态控温两种基本的控温模式下主动控温回路电加热器功率需求的计算表达式,给出了进行主动控温回路电加热器热功率设计计算的一般流程,较详细地分析了一个具体设计算例,为卫星主动控温回路设计计算提供了简便的计算模型和方法。

Analysis and characterization of wind-solar-constant torque spring hybridized model

摘要: Solar and wind are the most promising renewable energy resources. But their unpredictable and varying nature prevents them from being used as the sole resource for power generation. This paper presents a model of wind and solar thermal hybrid power plant with a spring storage system which is expected to play an efficient role in combating with the drawbacks related to renewable power generation. In the proposed scheme, wind energy is harnessed by a hybrid vertical axis wind turbine, solar energy is utilized by a Stirling engine, and the surplus energy is stored in a winding spring. The paper discusses the working methodologies and analyses the performance of such 2.6 kW hybrid power plant model. It has been observed that the plant is capable of consistently generating 50% of its rated capacity irrespective of limitations in solar and wind resources.

Development of a fan-stirred constant volume combustion chamber and turbulence measurement with PIV

摘要: A fan-stirred combustion chamber is deve-loped for spherically expanding flames, with P and T up to 10 bar and 473 K, respectively. Turbulence characteristics are estimated using particle image velocimetry (PIV) at different initial pressures (P = 0.5–5 bar), fan frequencies (ω = 0–2000 r/min), and impeller diameters (D = 100 and 114 mm). The flame propagation of methanol/air is investigated at different turbulence intensities (u′=0–1.77 m/s) and equivalence ratios (φ = 0.7–1.5). The results show that u′ is independent of P and proportional to ω, which can be up to 3.5 m/s at 2000 r/min. LT is independent of P and performs a power regression with ω approximately. The turbulent field is homogeneous and isotropic in the central region of the chamber while the inertial subrange of spatial energy spectrum is more collapsed to –5/3 law at a high ReT. Compared to laminar expanding flames, the morpho-logy of turbulent expanding flames is wrinkled and the wrinkles will be finer with the growth of turbulence intensity, consistent with the decline of the Taylor scale and the Kolmogorov scale. The determined SL in the present study is in good agreement with that of previous literature. The SL and ST of methanol/air have a non-monotonic trend with φ while peak ST is shifted to the richer side compared to SL. This indicates that the newly built turbulent combustion chamber is reliable for further experimental study.

A novel high-temperature and high-pressure hydraulic pump based on mononeuron control

摘要: Based on structures and characteristics of traditional hydraulic pumps, this paper proposes a novel high-temperature and high-pressure hydraulic pump (HHHP) that can work under 150°C and 28 MPa to overcome problems of traditional high-temperature plunger pumps. The HHHP is designed with the structure of mechanical division and double cylinder parallel. The control signals of two cylinders are two separate triangle waveforms with 90° phase difference. Because the output waveforms of two cylinders have the same characteristics as the control signals, the HHHP can obtain a stable output after two separate waveforms are superposed. A mononeuron self-adaptive PID control algorithm is also improved by modifying parameters and . Two improved controllers are used to control the two cylinders, respectively, making two displacements of plungers match each other. Therefore, reduced fluctuations and stable pressure output is obtained. Besides simulation, tests on the built prototype test system are carried out to verify the performance of HHHP. Results show that the improved control approach can limit fluctuations to a lower level and the HHHP system attains good outputs under different signal periods and different pressures.

摘要: 用于并网逆变器的传统模型预测直接功率控制,在每个控制周期只使用一个逆变器电压矢量,导致并网电流和功率出现大量谐波分量,降低电能质量。为提高稳态性能,预测控制需要很高的采样频率,同时由于计算复杂,预测算法需要较长执行时间,二者存在矛盾。为解决这个问题,提出一种新的无差拍模型预测直接功率控制策略,在每个控制周期使用2个有效电压矢量和1个零电压矢量。采用三矢量策略保证开关频率恒定,提高电流和功率质量。不同于传统三矢量模型预测直接功率控制策略,该方法根据功率误差而非电网电压矢量位置选择三个矢量,保证矢量计算时间始终为正。同时,无需迭代计算,有利于在数字信号处理芯片上执行算法。最后,搭建1 kW逆变器实验平台,验证了该方法的有效性。
